Over 40 Years of Service and Support
The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) Foundation was created in 1984 to support educational opportunities for underserved young learners in our community. Over forty years later, our vital work continues! The Foundation continues to grow to support the mission of KRESA: to deliver transformative, equitable, and innovative programs, and specialized services that empower learners, families, and schools to thrive in a rapidly changing world. We believe in the transformative power of education to strengthen schools, empower families, and uplift communities. Together, we work to bring educational initiatives to the Greater Kalamazoo region that foster innovative programs, nurture staff, and support students’ aspirations. Join us as we create a brighter future for all, one initiative at a time.

Our Work
Today, the KRESA Foundation supports initiatives that inspire excellence in education from cradle to career. We do this through a variety of programs, including scholarships for young learners and grants for current and future educators.
Join Us in Transforming Lives
You can support education in our community through the KRESA Foundation! Your generosity provides us with the necessary funds to continue this work. Together, we can ensure all learners and educators have the resources they need to pursue their dreams.
With your help, we can create a legacy of educational excellence that begins today, right here in Kalamazoo County.
Because of the skills I learned at the Young Adult Program (now KRESA Transition Services) around being patient, accountable, and a problem solver, I was able to secure my dream job installing air conditioners and furnaces.
